Tai Sui Harmony Cultural Art
Harmonize with the Grand Duke Jupiter and avert misfortune
📜 Historical Origins
Tai Sui (Grand Duke Jupiter) is a celestial deity whose position changes annually according to the Chinese zodiac. The practice of appeasing Tai Sui dates to the Song Dynasty, when Taoist astronomers codified the relationship between Jupiter's orbit and earthly fortune. Those whose zodiac sign conflicts with the year's Tai Sui must take special precautions.
📖 Taoist Lore & Scripture
The "Xieji Bianfang Shu" (协纪辨方书) compiled during the Qing Dynasty details the movements of Tai Sui and their effects on human affairs. Tao Te Ching Ch. 29: "Do you think you can take over the universe and improve it? I do not believe it can be done."
